Back in June we had a four day public holiday to celebrate the Eid. As we were going to be traveling back to England just a few weeks later for our summer holiday, we decided to book a three night staycay in the UAE.
We chose the Address Beach Resort in Fujairah which is around a two hour drive from Dubai. I love the drive into Fujairah as the terrain is totally different to that of Dubai with the roads winding through the mountains.
I managed to find an insane deal via one of my travel suppliers, and by booking as an independent travel agent, we paid only £520 for three nights accommodation with a full board package – meaning we had our breakfast, lunch and dinner all included during our stay! I also earned back £78 in commission! You can search for some of your own amazing deals here!
The weather in June in the UAE is very hot and very humid so we knew we would be spending most of our time between the pool and the kids club!
The kids swimming pool at the Address was fabulous as it had several tiers of different heights and Arlo loved sitting in the shallower end, playing with all of his toy trucks and cars.
The kids club was also brilliant and we spent 1-2 hours a day in there with Arlo which was the perfect way for him to escape the heat.
Restaurants
The Address had some great restaurant choices, and as we were full board, this also meant we didn’t need to look outside of the hotel for dining options.
Breakfast was served daily in the “The Restaurant” which is the hotels buffet restaurant.
They then had four restaurant and light bite options for lunch and dinner.
The perfect thing about traveling across to Fujairah is that it is located on a different coast to Dubai, so if you are looking to do a bit of exploring, you can go on snorkel trips around the coast and have the chance to see turtles and other exotic fish.
On our final day, we enjoyed breakfast, a morning by the pool, kids club and lunch before heading home so that Arlo could sleep in the car. It was a perfect short break for us as we prepared to pack up ready for our six week summer in England.
